Memorial Photo Slates

We aim to send your design preview the next morning once we have the photographs and details needed to create it. After you approve the design, your order can be prepared for dispatch.

Next-day delivery is available after dispatch for Irish deliveries. It does not mean the slate will arrive the day after you place your order, as the design must first be prepared and approved.

If you need your slate for a funeral, anniversary or particular date, please contact us before ordering so we can advise you.

Domore is part of McGee's Photocentre, a family-run photographic business on Main Street in Killybegs, County Donegal, Ireland. We have been serving customers since 2004.

Although we are based in Donegal, you can order your personalised memorial slate online from anywhere in Ireland.

If you need help choosing a design, have a question about a photograph or need to discuss a particular request, please contact Domore here or email declan@domore.ie.

If you have already ordered, include your order number so we can help you more quickly.

Yes. A favourite photograph and a pet's name or a personal message can make a lovely tribute to a much-loved companion.

Our natural slate can be displayed indoors or outdoors. If you intend to place it outside, select the outdoor option on the product page and consider adding the optional €5 protective lacquer.

If you plan to use it at a graveside, check the cemetery or burial ground's rules before placing any item there. The slate and its stands are not a permanent, guaranteed weatherproof memorial installation.

The optional lacquer adds an extra protective finish intended to help the printed design withstand UV exposure and outdoor weather. It is worth considering if your slate will be kept in a garden or another exposed location.

It cannot make the design completely fade-proof. How long it lasts depends on exposure to sunlight, rain and other outdoor conditions.

No. Each slate has its own natural shape, texture and rustic edges, so every piece is slightly different. The printed image is designed to sit on the slate rather than look like a photograph behind glass.

The natural slate finish is part of its character; it is not a smooth, uniform photo frame.

Do not worry if the photograph is old. Send us the best copy you have and we can assess whether it is suitable for your chosen design.

A clear, high-resolution image generally gives the best result. If you are unsure about a particular photograph, please contact us before ordering.

Of course. You can use a name, dates, a short personal message, a favourite verse or a few words that mean something to your family. You do not need to have every design detail decided before asking us for help.

Email declan@domore.ie with your ideas and we can discuss what may work best for your chosen slate.

Please contact us as soon as possible with your order number and a description of the issue. If the slate or packaging is damaged, include photographs so we can assess the problem and help resolve it.
