What is a personalised photo collage? +
A personalised photo collage brings a collection of your favourite photographs together into one finished piece of wall art. Instead of having those memories sitting separately on a phone, computer or in an album, we bring them together into one design that tells a story.

The collage can be created for a birthday, wedding, anniversary, Communion, family occasion, memorial, holiday, sporting memory, school memory or simply because you have a collection of photographs worth putting on the wall.

You may also hear the term photo montage used for this type of personalised artwork.
How many photos can I use in a personalised photo collage? +
There isn't one magic number of photographs that works for every collage. It depends on the size, the design and how large you want the individual photographs to appear.

As a useful guide, we generally recommend:

10 × 8" — 6–8 photos
12 × 10" — 6–12 photos
16 × 12" — 10–25 photos
20 × 16" — 10–50 photos
30 × 20" — 10–70 photos

These are recommendations rather than strict limits. You can send more photographs if you have them, but the more photographs we use, the smaller each individual photograph becomes.
What size photo collage should I choose? +
Think about two things: where the finished collage is going to hang and how many photographs you would like to include.

A smaller frame can look fantastic with a carefully chosen collection of photographs, while a larger 20 × 16 or 30 × 20 design gives us much more space when you have a big collection of family photographs, holiday pictures or memories from an event.

Don't feel that you need to work out the perfect number before ordering. The recommended ranges are there to give you a good starting point.
What can I personalise on my photo collage? +
This is where the collage becomes yours.

Depending on the design, we can add names, dates, colours, wording, titles, special messages and other personal details. We can also make changes to the colours or adjust parts of the design to better suit the photographs and occasion.

Don't assume that what you see in a product photograph is the only option. We make these collages ourselves and many elements can be changed. Our custom collage service is particularly useful when you have something specific in mind.
Can I choose a framed collage or a gallery wrapped canvas? +
Yes. Depending on the product, you can choose the finish that suits your home or the person you are buying it for.

Our personalised collage products can be available as a framed print or a gallery wrapped canvas, with the available options shown on the product page.

Framed collages give you a more traditional finished picture for the wall, while canvas gives the collage a more contemporary wall art feel.
What do I need to choose when I order? +
We keep the ordering process straightforward.

On the product page, choose your preferred finish, such as Framed or Gallery Wrapped Canvas, then choose your size and, where available, your frame colour.

You can then enter the personalisation details for your design, including names, dates, wording and any other information you would like us to include.

Once you've completed the required options, simply use the Add to Cart button and complete checkout. Then send us your photographs and we'll take care of the design from there.
Can I use photographs from my iPhone or Android phone? +
Absolutely. Most modern phones take very good photographs and they are perfectly suitable for many of our collage designs.

The important thing is to send the original photograph whenever possible. Avoid screenshots, Facebook downloads or photographs that have already been heavily compressed, as these versions may contain much less detail than the original.

And don't worry about doing anything clever with the photographs before sending them. We handle the cropping and layout.
What happens if some of my photographs are low quality? +
Don't panic. Send them anyway.

We work with photographs from phones, older digital cameras, scanned photographs and older family pictures all the time. We'll always use the best quality available and make the design work as well as possible.

The one thing we cannot do is create detail that was never in the original photograph. If an image is extremely small, badly blurred or heavily compressed, we may recommend using a different photograph or using that image at a smaller size within the collage.
Do I need to crop or edit my photographs before sending them? +
No. That's our job.

Send the photographs as they are and we'll handle the cropping, positioning and arrangement to suit the design you've chosen.

This is especially useful because different collage designs have different spaces and shapes for photographs. Trying to crop everything yourself can actually make the job harder.
Can I use old printed photographs in my collage? +
Yes — and some of the most meaningful collages are made using older photographs that have been sitting in family albums or boxes for years.

You can bring your printed photographs to us in Killybegs and we can professionally scan them for use in your collage.

How do I send my photographs after placing my order? +
Send them whichever way is easiest for you. We accept photographs through Google Drive, WeTransfer, Dropbox, email and WhatsApp.

When sending your photographs, please include your name and order number. That makes it much easier for us to identify your photographs and get them attached to the correct order.

Don't spend an hour trying to make one huge email work. If you have lots of photographs, WeTransfer or Google Drive is often the easiest option.
Can I send a large number of photographs using WeTransfer? +
Yes. WeTransfer is particularly useful when you have a large collection of photographs or when the files are simply too large to attach to an ordinary email.

Google Drive and Dropbox are also useful for larger collections. You don't need to reduce the quality of your photographs just to make them fit into an email.
Will I see my photo collage before you print it? +
Yes. This is one of the important parts of our service.

We create your personalised design and send you a proof by email before we print the finished collage. You can see how your photographs, wording and personalisation have come together rather than having to simply trust that everything will look right.

We won't print your personalised collage until the design has been approved.
Can I make changes after I receive my proof? +
Yes. That's exactly why we send a proof.

Have a photograph you'd rather move? Want a different name, date, colour or wording? Think a particular photograph would look better somewhere else?

Tell us what you'd like changed and we'll update the artwork before printing. The important thing is that you are happy with the design before we produce it.
How quickly will I receive my personalised photo collage? +
Your collage is personalised, so the first stage is creating your design and sending you the proof.

Once you have approved the proof, we can move the order into production and arrange delivery. We offer next-day delivery nationwide with DPD once the approved design is ready to leave us.

Need it particularly quickly? Let us know. We would rather know that you have a deadline than have you sitting wondering when the proof will arrive.
Can I add a name, date or special message to my collage? +
Yes — and this is where personalised collages become much more than simply putting photographs into a frame.

Names, dates and special messages can be added to many of our designs. Colours and other wording can also often be changed to suit your photographs or the occasion.

Whether it is a wedding date, a child's name, a birthday age, a family name, a memorial message or simply a few words that mean something to you, tell us what you have in mind.

Almost anything worth remembering.

Can you make a completely custom collage from my own idea? +
Yes. And this is something we genuinely encourage.

Maybe you have photographs from a concert, a family holiday, a retirement, a sporting achievement, a school year or an event that doesn't fit neatly into one of the standard designs.

Tell us what you are trying to create, send us the photographs and explain what you'd like included. We can work around your idea, including wording, colours, names, dates and other personal details.

There is no need to force your idea into a template just because it is the closest option on the website.

Can I order a personalised photo collage as a gift? +
Absolutely. In fact, that is one of the reasons photo collages work so well as gifts.

Instead of buying something that simply has the recipient's name printed on it, you are giving them photographs of their own family, their relationship, their children, their wedding, their travels or a moment that actually means something to them.

That's what makes a collage feel personal rather than simply personalised.
Can I return a personalised photo collage if I change my mind? +
Because your collage is made specifically to your photographs and personalisation, personalised and made-to-order products are not normally returnable simply because you have changed your mind.

However, that does not remove your statutory consumer rights. If there is a problem with your order, such as the product being faulty, not as described or not matching what you ordered, please contact us and we will deal with the issue.
Where are your personalised photo collages made? +
Your collage is not being produced by some anonymous online marketplace and sent to us to pass on.
